INTERNET: How social media giants can, and should get rid of spam, phishing, inflammatory impersonation, clickbait and harassment.
I basically said my piece on Twitter, so just like my last internet blog I'm just gonna compile the whole thread on here. Not to be lazy, (though it is an admittedly lazy way to tackle an issue) and certainly not to promote my Twitter, but because it wouldn't make sense to copy paste everything I said on Twitter and delete such a long thread I spend so much time crafting. I'm very passionate about fighting against spam, clickbait, phishing and bullying even if it's next to impossible to permanently stop it.
This all started after I saw GradeAUnderA's video about catfishing. Something I didn't think was still an issue as I never have e-dated.
Now for my incredibly long Twitter thread.
(Whether you think just looking hot is a business or not, a business is a business. How'd you like it if some slob in a safehouse somewhere made 15 diferent bots in your name spreading viruses?)
(More on this later in the thread.)
(Though DuaneSkip1 has been banned several times over for harassing Sailor Moon fans while shaking Sailor Moon dolls in front of his face and got arrested for pedophilia, I used him as an example because he trolled my sister like ED did some years back for reasons I forgot about. Nobody likes him.)
(This not including the numerous clickbatey "Top 10" channels and eve worse fake prank producers than Prankinvasion who make even more obnoxious garbage than his non-prank "pranks" clogging up the side bar, posted every day just to make money. With no integrity or talent or entertainment value.)
(In addition every page that posts an article should be given the ability to label their articles themselves except for the following green "confirmed" label,)
(Specifically their articles made to stir up hate, fear and confusion against the left and anybody they don't like, and vise versa for Gawker like fake news sources and hate mongerers on the left as well. I just mention Breitbart as they're one of the leading sources of far right wing hate and fear mongering.)
(Not to mention all the far mongering on InfoWars. Most of what he says can be blocked, while others could jus get labelled "Opinion.")
(This could also go for individual blogs on services like Weebly, Wordpress, Tumblr and Blogspot as well if incriminating evidence of it trying to "expose" and spread hate or fear to someone can be verified by mods, but unlike Encyclopedia Dramatica, only just those certain blogs. Not the entire source.)
(Most I've seen from users posting on the walls of official Facebook pages for Capcom and The Daily Show and WWE2K until WWE2K took away the ability to post on their wall. One time i even saw duplicate pages run by some crazy person advocating pedophilia and posting falsehoods about semen.)
(I know what you're thinking. "How could they do it?" Here's how.)
(Furthermore, have these firewalls on these sites only work if those exact links, posts, accounts and algorithms of the posts are reported. For example those "i want to fuck as animal" posts are blocked from ever being posted even when the account is made or the hacker accesses the service without even creating an account legitimately.)
And thus concludes this long ass thread! I sure do talk a lot.
Spam, phishing, trolling, clickbait, fake internet news and bullying have been around since the internet long before modern social media and likely won't ever stop. But the problem with modern phishing, trolling, fake enws and spam, is that they seemingly have grown since the dawn of more modern social media. Where when it used to be delivered privately or posted on blogs and fan sites you had to go digging for, it's now being readily shared like wildfire on Facebook and Twitter just to name only two cources. And it's been this way since MySpace was popular. And fake dating profiles made for the purposes of trolling and phishing have been around since e-dating was invented. And while conventional ahte vlogs on Youtube and other video services seemingly have taken the decline, clickbait thumbnails and drama channels have been waning in and out of popularity for years especially most recently. Even if clickbait thumbnails have been against the TOS for a while!
The mesures I raved about just there should be implemented no matter how hard. Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Tinder and various other services are more than big and rich enough to employ more mods and even work with top sleuthing and virus fighting teams and services out there like Facecrooks and Snopes and Avast, and should they start blacklisting entire sites and algorithms as well as permabanning the biggest contributors, the internet will be hat much more of a safe place. As too many gullible and or lonely men, women, children and old people alike have been victimized and violated by the oldest tricks, and most sociopathic volitile toxic cancerous trolls of the darkest scarist corners of the web.
